Geek Herring is a critical geek culture podcast that Amanda from Thankful Cow Solutions and I started in October 2018. Our weekly episodes focus on everything geeky (which we are obviously very passionate about) but we give the topics a feminist spin and discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of geek and popculture.

The name Geek Herring is a merge between “Red Herring” which is described by Wikipedia as “something that misleads or distracts from a relevant or important question” (which is often the case for feminist issues in mainstream society) and the 1930 gangster name “herring” which meant an incorruptible woman. 

Based on the etymology of the podcast name I created all our branding assets – with a slight 30s vibe – as well as the website that goes with our podcast.
